There will be a gathering of family and friends at Schiavone Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 starting at 10am with a religious service at 11am for Ronald G. Woods Sr., 71 who died the afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 in St. Elizabeth Boardman.

Ron was the son of Sampson and Martha Sterns Woods. He was born June 21, 1947 in Glendale, West Virginia coming to this area in the 70s. Ron became a draftsman and worked as such for 21 years at Hunt Valve Co

He was a member of the Moose Lodge # 1673 and enjoyed time fishing, camping, on his Harley, and had an interest in cars. He is survived by his son, Ronald (Jeannine) Woods Jr. of Austintown; a daughter, Patti Snyder of Girard; and a brother, Kenneth Ray (Barbara) Woods of Northport, Alabama. Among others he leaves his companion, Karen Brooks of Bessemer; two step-sons; one step-daughter; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Besides his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by eleven siblings. Services will be officiated by Pastor Douglass Brown and material contributions may be made to The Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Warren, 3101 Deforest Rd. Warren, OH 44484 in Ron’s memory.
