Nellie Patricia Leeson, 92 Private funeral services were held Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Celebrated by deacon Paul Lisko from St. Charles Church, for Nellie Patricia Leeson, 92 of Austintown, formerly of Boardman, who passed away peacefully February 4. Nellie was born October 3, 1926 in Hubbard, a daughter of Walter and Helen Patrosky Purkowsky. She was a homemaker and a Red Cross volunteer at the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital.

Nellie was a member of St. Charles Church in Boardman. Her husband John W. Leeson, Sr., whom she married May 20, 1960, passed away July 20, 2003. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children John W. Leeson,Jr of Joliet, Ill, a daughter Victoria (George) Ellis of Columbia, South Carolina, a special friend Terri (John) Prestas, brothers Larry Piurkoski of Navarre Florida and Stanley Parnell of Virginia Beach, Va.

,and sisters Helen Sansota of Hubbard and Blanche Rudy of California. Besides her parents and husband, Nellie is preceded in death, by a daughter in law Sue Ellen Leeson, brothers Felix Parnell, Steve Parnell and John Piurkoski, and sisters Frances Stare and Mary Wright. Material Nellie was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery tributes can be made in Nellie’s name to the American Red Cross, 8392 Tod Ave.
