Evelyn M. Murphy, 91, of Youngstown passed away peacefully Wednesday February 20, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. She was born December 22, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of Sneed and Mary Wagner Carroll. She graduated from South High School in June 1946, she attended Youngstown College and worked for several doctors in the area.

Her husband Charles R. Murphy, whom she married on August 22, 1953, died on September 9, 1996. She leaves her son, Charles J. Murphy of Flower Texas, two daughters, Barbara (John) Welker of Brunswick, Oh. , and Susan (Maurice) White of Cincinnati, Oh.

Evelyn was preceded in death by a brother Donald S. Carroll who was of Fort Myers, Fla. , and her parents. Evelyn’s wishes were to have a private service and no calling hours, her interment was Saturday at Lake Park Cemetery.
