Obituary for Mr. Ronald Ivy Craven Ronald “Rockin Ronnie” Ivy Craven, 72, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, surrounded by his loving family in Tallahassee. A son of the late James Adrian Craven and Myrtice Craven, who survives, he was born in Waycross, Georgia on July 3, 1946. His brothers, Larry Craven and Kirk Craven; and a sister, Glenda Faye White, have preceded him in death.

He moved to Tallahassee in 1952 and graduated from Leon High School in 1964. Having retired from Centel Telephone Company, “Rockin’ Ronnie” loved spending time with his family and friends, dancing to the jukebox, cooking Sunday dinners and was a man of a thousand jokes. He had the ability to make you smile, even on the days you didn’t want to.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Shannon and Schelly; mother of his children, Ellen West; grandchildren: Heather, Christopher (wife Allie), Brandon, Brooke, and Todd Jr. “Junebug”; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Ivy, and Amyiah, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of his life is 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Abbey Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.
