Ronald J. Schwinefus, 70, of Richland Center died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the Richland Hospital. He was born October 14, 1947 in Cresco, IA, to parents Kenneth and Helen (Gingell) Schwinefus. Ron grew up on French Island and graduated in 1965 from Logan High School in La Crosse, WI.

He moved to Richland Center and started an accounting business; he was also involved in the operations of Hardees and The White House. In 1982 Ron married Kathy Brock and they were married for 36 years. He enjoyed… Read More » landscaping and was currently working for D&P Enterprises.

Ron was passionate about hunting and fishing. He loved being outdoors and took pride in his hunting dogs. Ron loved the time he spent with his family.

Ronald is survived by his wife Kathy Schwinefus; children: Criss (Dave) Holmen, Leslie (Jack) Atkinson, Darren Schwinefus, Dan Schwinefus; grandchildren: Cassidy, Casey, Corey, Carley, Alex, Tucker; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings: Judy Schwinefus, Jim (Mary) Schwinefus; 3 nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Helen. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
