Ronald Lee Purdie, age 67, a child of God, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Manor at Whitehall. Ronald was born on March 30, 1951 in Newport News, VA to David and Eleanor (Watkins) Purdie. Ron was a loving father and grandfather.

He was an art aficionado. Esquire and a gentleman. Ron was a collector and creator of Asian art.

Preceded in death by his parents, David Purdie and Eleanor Gunnell; and Great Aunt Nan. Survived by his companion, Victoria Peters; daughters, Ronda (David Clemons) Felton-Huzzie and Chyna Purdie; granddaughter, Lily Green; many other relatives and friends. Arrangements are pending with Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger.
