Tell City, Indiana Ronald L. “Ronnie” VanConia, 70, passed away May 3, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Tell City, Indiana on June 7, 1947. Ronnie was a 1965 graduate of Cannelton High School.

He was united in marriage on October 11, 1969 to the former Sondra Reed. He retired as a certified welder for Boilermaker Local 374. Ronnie was a member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church in Cannelton and enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and playing practical jokes.

and Surviving are his wife, Sondra VanConia, Tell City; mother Madeline Harpenau (Merle), Tell City; son, Darren VanConia (Laurie), Evanston; grandchildren, Remington and Macie Parks; sisters, Rita Harmon (Mike) Carbon, Indiana and Sharon Schneider (Nick), Bloomfield, Indiana. Preceding him in death was his father, Andrew J. VanConia. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM CST on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.

Pastor David Humphreys will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-6:00PM and Monday from 9:00-10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh Street Baptist Church.
