Ronald V. Nigro, 82, of Easton, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home. Born September 3, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of the late Augustine and Eleanor (D’Amore) Nigro. He and his wife, Alberta (Neuhauser) Nigro, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on January 14, 2019.

Ronald was a graduate of Emerson High School, Union City, NJ and served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed woodworking. Ronald was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife Alberta are four children, Ronald A. Nigro, Easton, Donna Upright and her husband Mark, of Nashville, NC, Rhonda Mertz and her husband Alan, of Wilson Borough, and Eleanor Motsavage and her husband William, of Germansville, PA; two brothers, August Nigro and his wife Ruth, of Allentown, and Michael Nigro and his wife Barbara, of Charlevoix, MI; a sister, Anne Marie Camacho and her husband Roger, of Forks Township; ten grandchildren, Samantha and Sophia Nigro, Justin, Holden and Jordan Upright, Joshua and Jason Mertz, Victoria, Veronica and Maxwell Walker; and a great-grandson, Julian Mertz. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
