Obituary for Ronnie Lee Helms Ronnie Lee Helms, 66, of Martinsville, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born August 17, 1951, in Henry County, to the late David Lee Helms and Clara Simmons Hairston. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Sidney Helms, Dwight “Fiddle” Helms, and David Wayne Helms.

Mr. Helms is survived by daughters, Chi-Ela Dillard, Celia Helms, and Denita Dodson; son, Anthony Menefee; sisters, Deana Hairston, Nina Finney (Otis), and Brenda Johnson (James); granddaughter, Leamiya Dillard and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Louis Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park, 18960 A. L. Philpott Hwy, Spencer, Virginia, 24165.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at Wright Funeral Service Chapel and other times at 2010 Terry’s Mountain Road, Martinsville, Virginia 24112. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family. On Line condolences may be made at www.
