RONNIE LEIGH O’BRIEN age 69, of 1214 Mackfieldson Road, Roxboro, NC died Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019 at his home. Mr. O’Brien was born January 22, 1949 in Person County, NC son of the late Taylor Leigh & Mary Ellen Gravitt O’Brien and was husband to Deborah Ann Terrell Obrien who have spent 23 years together. He was retired from Alsco and enjoyed anything outdoors.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Robin, Chad, Rodney, Christy, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, Curtis O’Brien, Darrell O’Brien, father and mother-in-law, Elbert & Gracey Terrell, Sr., brothers-in-law, Elbert Terrell, Jr. & wife, Donna, Larry Terrell, Sr. & wife, Janet, Donnie Terrell & wife, Kim, four nieces, Jalaine Moore & husband, Tommy, Crystal Chandler & husband, Ryan, Kandi Shotwell & husband, Justin, Lindsey Terrell, three nephews, Spencer Terrell, Larry Terrell, Jr. & wife, Anna, and Chase Terrell. In addition to his parents, Mr. O’Brien is preceded in death by a brother, Keith Michael “Joe” O’Brien. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ryan Chandler, Tommy Moore, Jr., Devin O’Brien, Kurt O’Brien, Justin Shotwell, Larry Terrell, Jr., and Chase Terrell.
