Rosa’s Obituary Rosa Maria Vasquez, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, March 20. 2019. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 11 AM at the Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Nick Gerber officiating.

Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7 PM on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rosa was born on June 12, 1957 in Laredo, Texas to Canuto and Francisca (Vega) Flores.

She was a fun loving person who loved to laugh and tell jokes. She also loved going to casinos and gambling, music, cooking and dancing. An outgoing person, Rosa had lots of friends and shared many good times with them.

Above all else, she loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her great pride, laughter and joy. Rosa was preceded in death by her mother Francisca Flores, and a sister Francisca Palma. Survivors include her husband Alejo Vasquez; daughter Rosa E. Perez; son Alfredo Perez, Jr.; daughter Lucinda J. Vasquez-Preciado; son Juan J. Vasquez; grandchildren Augustine Gonzalez, Jr., Alexa Perez, Izel Perez, Areli Perez, Alexis Alaniz, Jasmine Perez, Jeter Preciado, Sebastian Preciado, Stryker Vasquez; her father Canuto Flores; eight sisters; one brother; and numerous extended family and friends.
