JAMISON – ROSE MARY STEWART GLICK Rose Mary Stewart Glick Jamison, age 87, of Ashville was called to her eternal home by her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Kobacker House, Columbus, OH. Rose was born October 1, 1930 to the late Glenn Archer and Rosa May (Jones) Stewart, St. Paul, Pickaway County, OH. Rose lived in Ashville for most of her life.

She graduated from Ashville Harrison High School in 1948. After graduation she worked for: The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation in Columbus and Connecticut, Lockbourne Air Force Base in the Civil Engineering department. She also worked at the family businesses, The Viking Dairy Bar and Bob’s Bar.

Mostly, she was a wonderful mother, caregiver and friend to many. She was blessed with three children, Kim, Robin and Darryl, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She dearly loved all of them, and they loved her too!

Rose was a member of Village Chapel Church, the Coffee Club and sang in the church choir. She previously attended Lithopolis UMC, and Hoy Memorial Church where she was the choir director. She also sang with the Ashville Community Choir.

Rose was first attendant at the very first Miss Ashville Fourth of July contest, and she received the 2014 Ashville Fourth of July Distinguished Service Award. Rose was a life member of the Ashville Area Heritage Society, South Bloomfield V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and Circleville AMVETS. She was treasurer for Ashville TOPS, vice president of Greencastle Homemakers, Lithopolis, Board member of Friends of the Library, Sunshine Girls, U.M. Women, and volunteered at Ohio’s Small Town Museum.

For many years she wrote the Ashville News for the local newspaper. Rose enjoyed life, kept busy with many activities with her family and church. She enjoyed playing the piano/organ, bowling, and for over fifty years she played Euchre with her card club friends.

She was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She also loved to travel, going to Alaska, Hawaii, Iceland, Germany, Lithuania, Nova Scotia and England. She also traveled to many places across the United States.

Her adventures almost always crossed paths with someone she knew, or someone who they both knew. She made many friends throughout the years, and never met a stranger. If Rose knew you, please know that you held a special place in her heart.

Rose wanted everyone to know she had a very good life, a good family, good friends and a good God! Along with her parents, Rose is preceded in death by first husband, Robert Glick, second husband, Robert Jamison, step-father, Leonard Hochmuth, brother, Archer Stewart, and step-daughters, Sue Meadows and Patty Jamison. Rose is survived by daughters, Kim (Mark) Knore and Robin (Grant) Hossfeld, son, Darryl (Jodi) Glick; Grandchildren, Kyle and Kari Forson, Brittany Emerine, Grant, Caden, and Jeremy Hossfeld, Natalie, Nathan, Eric, Jamaal, Tavonte, Tarayle, Phillip, Thomas, and Arialle Glick, and great granddaughter, Cambrie Rose Licostie.

Step-children, Mary Ann Jamison, Mitchell (Rosemary) Jamison, Scott (Gail) Jamison, Paul Jamison, Beth Ann Jamison (Dan Gannon). Step Grandchildren, Shazz Szekely, Shara Soltis, Thomas Meadows, Mathew Jamison, Marcus Jamison, Michelle Moore, Maria Jamison, Jennifer Jamison, Ashley Ward, Amber Stemen, and Alexander Jamison Burroughs, 15 Step Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great great grandchildren. Nieces Lisa (Roger) Rose, Lori (Robert) Dick, Amy (Tim) Davis.

Special friends, Cousin Betty Henson, Eleanore Chandler, and Marjorie Kraft. Rose will be dearly missed by her family and friends but we rejoice in knowing she is with our Lord and Savior. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 NIV Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thurs. April 26, 2018 at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Village Chapel Church, 30 Circleville Ave.
