Mrs. Roselyn Bard Shuman Wheeler, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She was ninety-five years old. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 11, 2019, in the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Reverend Michael Sigler and Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating.

Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Friday in the church from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Wheeler was born January 28, 1923 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to the late Edgar Bruce Bard and Nellie Blanche Fox Bard.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ozark. She was an avid duplicate bridge player, sports fan, and reader. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, C. Donald Shuman and David J. Wheeler; one sister and five brothers.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Max Brown of Ozark; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bennett and Robin Shuman of Pensacola, Kevin and Donna Shuman of Ozark; one sister-in-law, Sharon S. Fahnestock; one brother Bennett Bard both of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Melanie B. (Chris) Davis, Bard Brown, Lindsey Shuman, Kyle McLoone (Bradley), D. Kaleb (Kimberly) Shuman and Kaci Shuman; five great-grandchildren; many Bard nieces and nephews, and extended Wheeler family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, 167 East Broad Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360; or to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
