Roxie A. Blair, 82, residing in South Bend, IN; passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 3, 2018. She was born February 12, 1936 in South Bend, IN; a daughter of the late Fred & Helen (McFarren) Shreve, and has remained a lifelong resident. On June 24, 1961 in South Bend, Roxie was united in marriage to John N. “Jack” Blair.

They enjoyed 32 years together until his passing on April 18, 1993. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Roxie was formerly employed by the Bendix Corp.

, and retired from St. Paul’s Retirement Community where she worked in the Housekeeping Dept. She was a graduate of the former Greene High School. More than anything in life, Roxie enjoyed spending time with her three granddaughters who were the pride and joy of her life.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly & Rene Micola von Furstenrecht of Mishawaka; and her three granddaughters, Kaleigh, Ciara, and Victoria Micola von Furstenrecht, her brother, Connie Shreve of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Rev.

Ken Fetter will officiate. The Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff of Grand Emerald Assisting Living and Heart-to-Heart Hospice for the excellent care and compassion given to Roxie and her family this past year.
