Vera Ann Caldera, 59, of South Bend, IN passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 8, 1958 in Evanston, IL. On November 8, 1974 in San Antonio, TX, she married Juan M. Caldera Sr. Vera is survived by her husband, Juan M. Caldera Sr.; children, Karen Ciesielski, Veronica (Adam Sr.) Gonzalez and Juan (Crystal) Caldera Jr., all of South Bend, IN; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Christian, Adam Jr., Juan III, Seth, Emely, Angel, Brayden and Jase; great grandchild, Ava; sisters, Grace (Manuel) Villarreal, Jane Santos and Estella Garcia and brothers, Adrian Santos and Anthony Santos all of San Antonio, TX.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and the friends that have become family. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Irma (Daniel) Villareal and Adolph Santos; grandmother Elvira Reyes, infant daughter, infant son, brother, Adolph Santos and son in law, Ronnie Ciesielski. A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Deer Run Church, 2730 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel, 2702 Lincoln Way W, South Bend, IN and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
