Joan “Joanie” Lea Wisner, age 69, of South Bend, IN passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 5, 1949 in South Bend to William and Kathryn Jontz. On January 13, 1990 in South Bend, IN Joanie married Randy Wisner.

Joanie graduated from Adams High School class of 1967. She was a hard worker. She worked as a printer at Typagraphics Printing in South Bend and was a bartender at CJ Pub and City Limits.

She loved her family, her dogs and drinks with her friends. She was known for love of cooking, gardening, golfing, tanning and horseback riding. Joanie is survived by her husband, Randy; children Lori (Mike) Crockett of Valparaiso, IN Aaron (Eileen) Schramm of Frisco, TX, and step-son Matt Hostetler of Elkhart, IN.

She is also survived by her grandson Tristan Schramm and step-grandchildren Zoe Zermano, Mac Crockett, Mason Crockett and Matthew Crockett, her brother William (Viola) Jontz of Hendersonville, TN. Joanie was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Moetta Jontz, paternal grandparents Harry and Ruth Jontz, Aunt Joan and Uncle Mike Rodick, her cousin Gary Rodick and her niece Kelly Jontz Maxie. The Wisner family would like to share a special thanks to Joanie’s caregiver, Teri Dill.

A celebration of Joanie’s life will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at American Legion Post 303, 2503 East Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. Online condolences for the Wisner family left www.
