OSCEOLA – William C. Fernsler, 61, residing in Osceola, Indiana passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. William was born on August 31, 1956 in South Bend, Indiana to the late William E. Fernsler and Garnet (Holt) Fernsler and has been a lifelong resident of the Osceola area, graduating from Penn High School in 1975. William worked as a Fitter-Welder for Builders Iron Works, Inc. in Mishawaka for over 20 years.

He was a hard worker and enjoyed keeping busy. He was a huge fan of the University of Notre Dame Sports, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. But the joy and love of his heart was his family and friends, and his many pets and granddogs.

On June 21, 1997 in South Bend, he was united in marriage to Betsy S. (Link) Fernsler of Osceola, who survives. He is also survived by three sons, Casey C. Fernsler (Marissa Gain) of South Bend, Jacob R. Luczkowski (Kate Meyers) of South Bend, and Paul D. (Allyson) Luczkowski of Elkhart; and grandson, Hayden Sherman. A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 1:00 PM till 5:00 PM at Bill and Betsy’s home located at 55801 Short Hair Drive, Osceola, IN 46561.
