Wael Abd El Kader (Taha) Mahmoud, 48, residing in Walkerton, IN, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born on July 18, 1969 in Cairo, Egypt, to Abd El Kader Taha Mahmoud and Amino Osman Sadek, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 27, 1998 in Gatlinburg, TN, Wael married the former Suzanne B. Dinwiddie, who survives.

Wael is also survived by his beloved daughter, Vanessa Wael Abd El Kader Taha Mahmoud of Walkerton; sisters, Haidy Abd El Kader Taha Mahmoud (husband, Monkiz Radwan Abdo Radwan) and Shereen Abd El Kader Taha Mahmoud, both of Cairo, Egypt; and nieces, Sara Monkiz Radwan Abdo and Merna Monkiz Radwan Abdo, both of Cairo, Egypt. Wael has resided here for 22 years, moving here from Egypt. He was semi-retired to a small farm.

He lived his life to the fullest through being a devoted husband and loving father. Services for Wael will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Islamic Society of Michiana, 3310 E. Hepler Street, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Pinhook Cemetery in La Porte, Indiana.
