Funeral services for Roy Lee Thomas, age 67 of Lula, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Raymond Payne and Rev.

Joe Thomas will officiate with interment to follow the service in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Mr. Thomas passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Blairsville, Georgia on September 11, 1951, Mr. Thomas was the son of the late D. L. And Hazel Dyer Thomas.

Mr. Thomas was the owner and operator of Dawg-On Woodworking. He was a master craftsman and built custom furniture and cabinetry for over 30 years and later worked at Habersham Hardware. Mr. Thomas loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was a member of Harvest Vision Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by brother Larry Thomas. Survivors include his wife Beverley Borresen Thomas of Lula, daughters and sons in law Stephanie and Calvin Martin of Cleveland and Briana and Ian Lipscomb of Topeka, Kansas, daughter Jessica Taylor of Clarkesville, grandchildren Amy Jones, Amber Jones, Izac Martin, Alana Poole, Bianca Poole and Nate Lipscomb, great grandchildren Sawyer, Jonah and Hazel Gerrell, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Those wishing may send condolences online at www. hillsidememorialchapel.com.
