OBITUARY Ruben G Perez April 24, 1930 – July 17, 2018 Ruben G. Perez April 24, 1930 – July 17, 2018 Ruben G. Perez (Popo), age 88, passed away July 17, 2018 of natural causes. He was born April 24, 1930 in Detroit Michigan to the late Federico and Crispina Perez. In February 1957, he married the love of his life, Esperanza Perez who preceded him in death in 1995.

He is also preceded in death by his beloved son Federico (Freddy) Perez in 2005 and brother Abraham Perez of Chicago in 2017. His life will be forever cherished in the lives of his children Frances (Tino) Ramirez, Rebecca (Richard) Salazar, Mary (Cipriano) Sanchez, Gloria (Joe) Mejia, Ruben Jr. (Deann) Perez, brothers Raul Perez, Roberto (Cookie) Perez and sister Carolina Proa. Ruben was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Ruben loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed family celebrations, dining out especially at Denny’s and was a huge Astros fan. We thank God for allowing him to see his favorite team win a World Series. Always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
