Obituary for Ms. Ruby Jean Johns Johns – Ruby Jean Johns, age 81, of Macclenny, Florida passed away July 19, 2018 at her home. She was born October 14, 1936 in Monroe, Michigan to the late Ruben Waldvogel and Nancy Townsend Waldvogel. Ruby has been a long time resident of Baker County and a member of First Christian Church.

Ruby stayed very active with her church and the Council on Aging. She loved to travel and dance. Ruby never met a stranger and genuinely loved people.

She is predeceased by her parents; son, Walter Darrell Johns; grandson, Philip Middleton; uncle and aunt, Eugene and Jo Townsend. Ruby is survived by her children, Warren Douglas (Kathy) Johns of Lake City, FL, Nancy Linda (Mike) Tucker of Hendersonville, NC, Cheryl Ann Johns of Macclenny, FL; sister, Lola Mae Bowen; grandchildren, Jeremy Johns, Michael Johns, Heather Davis, Tracy Williams, Tammy Combs, Gene Busch, Angela Busch; 11 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. A Celebration of Ruby’s life will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Douglas Allen officiating.

Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday on hour prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Council on Aging 101 East Macclenny Ave.
