Obituary for Ruby Marie Johnson Mrs. Ruby Marie (Bannister) Rice Johnson, 77, of Seymour, passed away, October 12, 2018. She was born at home in Jackson County on December 22, 1940 to the late Gerald and Helen (Engel) Bannister. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 17 from 4 � 8 pm and on Thursday from 12 noon until time of service.

Funeral service will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Vallonia Cemetery. On May 8, 2004, she married Darrell Johnson, he survives.

Ruby enjoyed singing karaoke especially gospel, playing bingo at the American Legion Post 89 and VFW 1925 along with pull tabs and scratch offs. She was always on the go whether she was dancing, singing or enjoying a meal out on the town. Ruby is survived by her husband of 14 years; children, Terry Darkas, Bruce ( Debbie) Rice, Tim (Tammy) Rice, Tawna (Steven) Smith, John Johnson, Mark Johnson, Sheila (Donnie) Lankford, Anita Johnson, Steven (Melissa) Johnson, and Darrell Ray (Denise) Johnson; brothers, Bert Bannister and Clifford (April) Bannister; sister, Sandy Hart; 26 grandchildren and several great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, John Rice; parents; son, Tony Rice; grandchildren, Neal Rice and Alana Lush; siblings Gail Honey and Eugene Bannister.
