Folsom, 42, of Troy, MO, passed away in an automobile accident on Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Lincoln County. He was born on April 23, 1976 in Horton, KS to Charles Leroy and Leslie (Capp) Folsom Jr He grew up with his older brother, Charles Leroy Folsom III in Stilwell, KS.

After his formal schooling, he met and later married Dani Laliberte on June 28, 1996. They were blessed with a son, Cameron. Russ enjoyed driving and so working as a truck driver was a given for him.

He liked to sit around the fire pit and visit with family and friends. Russ was a kind and caring man that would help anyone. On June 7, 2008, he married Mary Henke and to this union was born a daughter, Sydney.

The couple resided in Troy and Russ worked for Witte Brothers Exchange, Inc. as a truck driver for several years. He loved his job and enjoyed being on the open road. His family said “anything that had a motor” was where he liked to be.

Russ liked to play golf and recently purchased a Harley- Davidson motorcycle that he thoroughly loved riding. His children, family and friends were so very important to him. Surviving are his two children: Cameron Folsom and his mother, Dani Morado of Kansas; his daughter, Sydney Folsom and her mother, Mary Henke Folsom of Troy; his grandmother, Darlene Reed of Louisburg, KS; his mother, Leslie Folsom of Stilwell, KS.

He is further survived by his brother, Charles Leroy Folsom III; his Uncle Danny Folsom, his Aunt Karen Parmely; cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Leroy Folsom Jr. Visitation scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 4-8p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 Memorials may be made to the Folsom Children, Cameron and Sydney, c/o the funeral home.
