Mr. Russell W. Pearson, 84, of Lehighton, passed away Wednesday July 25th at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Janet F. (Klotz) Pearson of Lehighton. They were married for 63 years on July 1st of this year.

Born in Richland Township, Bucks County, on Wednesday March 21st, 1934, he was a son of the late Erwin & Amanda (Martin) Pearson. He served our country with the US Air Force during the Korean War attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant (T). Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, Pa.

as a machinist/tool & die maker and was a member of UAW Local 677. He was of the Christian Faith. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Kerry, wife of Charles Siarkowski Jr. , Cynthia, wife of Kenneth Berger, a son Russell E. Pearson & his wife Christina of Lehighton, 6 grandchildren, Mike & Michelle Berger, Jessica Korba, Charles Siarkowski III, Jonathan & Benjamin Pearson, 2 great-grandchildren, Matthew & Megan Berger, nieces & nephews.

He was predeceased by 4 sisters, Bertha Kressler, Lucy Kressler, Anna Kattner, Mary Frankenfield, & a brother, Edward Pearson. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 2 p.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Military Interment under the direction of the Lehighton UVO following the services in the Packerton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences can be offered at www.
