Mrs. Nancy J. Berger, 72, of East Penn Township, passed away Monday September 3rd at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke’s, Bethlehem, Pa. with her loving family at her side. She was the wife of Darwin L. Berger.

They were married for 51 years on May 6th, 2018. Born in Lehighton on April 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Herbert H. & Mildred Arlene (Gilham) Henry. Nancy was most recently employed at Head Start Pre-School in Lehighton as a certified teacher’s aide.

She previously worked in the garment industry in the Lehighton area. She was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield, Pa. and formerly volunteered her time with the East Penn Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She cherished her time with her family & grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, shopping, and attending Country & Western shows. Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters, Kelli, wife of Richard DeLuca of East Penn Township, Holli, wife of Eric Solt of Franklin Township, 3 grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie, Colby, & 3 step-grandchildren, Mika, Evan, and Brandon, nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Reverend Anthony P. Pagotto officiating.

Call 9:30-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Dinkey Memorial Cemetery, Ashfield, Pa. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1742 Dinkey Road, Ashfield, Pa.
