Mrs. Doris M. Taschler, 95, formerly of Lehighton, passed away Thursday, October 11th at Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning, Pa. She was the wife of the late Lewis R. Taschler who passed away January 27, 2003. Born in Lehighton, Pa.

on July 5, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Edward & Myrtle (Billig) Wassmer. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Scotty’s Fashions as a garment worker. She attended services at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church in Lehighton.

In her spare time, she could be found sewing, cooking, baking, and taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving is a brother, Edward C. Wassmer of Lehighton, 3 grandchildren, Kelly Moser, Shelly Michlovsky, Brian Taschler, 3 Great-grandchildren, Jacob Taschler, Adam Taschler, Noah Michlovsky, 2 Great-great-grandchildren, Samuel & Sophia, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased in death by a son, Ronald E. Taschler in 2010.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 18th at 2 p.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with Mrs. Emma Weaver S.A.L.M officiating. Call 1-2 p.m. on Thursday. Interment in The Lehighton Cemetery.
