Mrs. Wilma Ruth Cochran, 65, of Darlington, Indiana passed away at home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was born on October 8, 1953 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Joe and Maggie (McClure) Hasty.

Ruth was reared and educated in Kentucky before moving to Lebanon and she graduated from Lebanon High School. On April 10, 1993, she married Richard Michael ‘Mike’ Cochran; he survives. Ruth worked for 17 years as a manager of the American Legion Post #910 in Lebanon.

She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and soaking up the sun. Survivors: Husband: Mike Cochran of Darlington, Indiana Son: Cole Cochran of Bloomington, Indiana Daughter: Miki (Ron) Cron of Lafayette, Indiana Two Grandchildren: Ryn Cron and Ryder Cron Brothers: Wayne (Kathy) Hasty of Lebanon, Indiana Bob E. Hasty of Lebanon, Indiana Sisters: Wanda J. Deal of Lebanon, Indiana Geri (Bruce) Bartlett of Lebanon, Indiana Joyce Taylor of Lebanon, Indiana Sister-In-Law: Carol Hasty of Whiteland, Indiana In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, Verlin Hasty and Lee Hasty. Funeral Services are to be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Plum Street, Thorntown, Indiana 46071.

Visitation is planned from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Myers and Hunt Mortuary in Thorntown. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Darlington, Indiana. Memorials may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Darlington American Legion Post #302, 201 West South Street, Darlington, Indiana 47940.
