Ruth M. Blanch, 92, passed away Tues Oct. 2, 2018. She was born Feb.

6, 1926 to the late Sydney and Ruth (Tredo) Melbourne. A collector of Teddy Bears, she was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. Ruth was a member of the Agawam Congregational Church and the Agawam Golden Agers, Chapter 2.

She was married to the late Francis Leo Blanch in 1951 and together had 5 children; James Stephen of Vernon, CT. , David Francis of Stafford Springs, CT. , Robert Leo and his wife Kathleen of Westfield, MA.

, Jayne Ellen Wadleigh and her husband Leroy of Brunswick, ME. , and Jennifer Ann Newton and her husband Mark of Florence, AL. She also leaves her 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held in the spring in Agawam Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Rd #2, Holyoke, MA 01040. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
