She was born February 4, 1925 in Grand Rapids the daughter of William and LaVina ( Bouwman ) Bowhay . During her working years she worked as a waitress for many years.

She enjoyed Bingo, and was a member of the VFW. Surviving are her son Larry and Rhonda Nottingham of Pierson One sister Betty of Florida And several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and her Husband Roy and a daughter Ruth Ann. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 2 PM at the Heckman Funeral Home with Pastor Teri Cumins officiating with burial Rosedale Memorial park.
