She was born December 17, 1934 in Trufant Michigan to August and Daisy Knopf. She was preceded in death by her husband Lionel Salisbury, Sisters Bertha, Edna, Neva, Irene and Ruth and one brother Karl Knopf.

She is survived by her two daughters Joni Myers and Roxie (Chris) Miller, her five grandchildren; Mitchell Myers, Amber (Gage) Evans, Lindsey (Justin) Frey, Aaron (Amy) Miller and Ashley Miller. She is also survived by her seven great grandchildren; Faith, Weston, Colton, Carlito, Paisley, Gracie, Eden and MacKenzie. Joan enjoyed reading, playing cards with her friends and bowled at Howard City Lanes for over 20 years.

She was also an active member in Ensley Center Crime watch where she served as treasurer for several years. She worked at Wolverine in Rockford Michigan, Vintage Products in Bailey Michigan, Tifts Restaurant in Howard City Michigan and Independent Bank of West Michigan. Funeral services will take place on Sunday at 2 PM at the Heckman Funeral Home with Pastor Terri Cummins officiating with burial in the North Enlsey Cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Sunday from 1 Pm until time of services at 2 PM In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Faith Hospice of Michigan.
