Sabra Faye Ward, 8/30/67 – 4/25/18 Child of God, went to be with her Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ and her beloved Grandmother, Sara Dunn Freeman. She fought a courageous and valiant battle with cancer, never losing hope or her extraordinary will and exuberance for life. There was never a trip she didn’t want to take or a gathering she didn’t want to attend.

Smiling and encouraging others was her trademark. A cheerleader at Irmo High and throughout her life for all those she loved and cared about. Her husband of 11 years, Burt Ward was at her side, holding her hand and giving her the strength to cross over to her true home and perfect body in Heaven.

Sabra was fiercely independent and never shied away from lending a helping hand to anyone in need, even in her pain and suffering. Her outer beauty was only surpassed by her inner beauty and strength and both played a distant second to her tender and compassionate heart for all animals. It was this beauty and true compassion that led everyone who came in contact with her to fall in love with her instantly.

We will miss our dear Wife, Sister, Aunt and Friend in the here and now, but know we will be reunited with her in the future as she has been reunited with her “children”, Charlie Brown, Caroline, CoCo, Miss Gray, Cesar, and Sammie. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, Sabra who was active and worked with the Animal Protection League wanted to be remembered by any and all through contributions to the Animal Protection League, www.

The family wishes to express their utmost praise and appreciation for all the love and care provided for Sabra by all the doctors and nurses who fought by her side and especially to SCOA and Dr. Mushtaq and Kendra, Cheryl of Intramed Plus and the loving staff of Hospice. “Let not your hearts be troubled, for I’m making room for you,” .
