Samuel Franklin Johnson, age 85, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on March 15, 1933 to Newell Johnson and Maggie Lawrence Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janie Melba Long Johnson; a son, Brian Franklin (Tresha) Johnson; a granddaughter, Briana Johnson; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leota (Junior) Jessup.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and four sisters. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Bro. Don Collins officiating.

Interment will follow in Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (www.
