Samuel Ruiz Arana, “Sammy”, 76 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 22, 2018 in Brandon, Florida. Sammy was born on February 2, 1942 in Hatillo, Puerto Rico. Sammy was a member of the National Guard for a while.

He had a successful career in sales and public relations. He was always involved in his local church and served and loved the Lord above all things. Sammy also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand-children.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helga; children, Keila Vega (Victor, Sr.), Amarillys Santallana (Juan, Sr.) and Helga LeMaster (Geoff); brother, Dario Ruiz, Jr. (Nilsa); grandchildren, Victor, Jr., Jonathan, Julian (Caridad), Juan, Jr. (Sonia), Austin, Zachary and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Julianna, Julian, Jr., Joel, Javier and Josvany; and his beloved canine – Lola. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00am, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Centro de Adoración Betél in Valrico, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Samuel Ruiz Arana’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
