Obituary for May Barnett May Barnett Born 5/12/37 Liverpool England She was raised in an orphanage with her older sister at the age of 2 years old after her father passed away on a war ship in World war 2. She graduated college in England as a Nurse at the age of 17. At the age of 18 she Married a USA Airforce GI by the name of Joe Barnett.

They had their first child Rick Barnett in England. Then being transferred back to the USA she left her home country to have her second two children Roy Barnett and Keith Barnett in New Jersey Her fourth child was born in Texas while her husband was in Korea Heather Surgoine. After many years of transfers, she settled in Tampa Florida.

Here she studied to be a Nurse in the USA and started her nursing career at St Joseph Hospital in the year 1975 where she worked until she retired. She then worked in a private Doctor Office for Don Irvin for several years until he closed his practice. She then went on to volunteer at Mofit Cancer Center where she received volunteer of the year.

Later in her life she received the plan of salvation and began spreading the gospel by working at the fairgrounds in one of the tents. Her home Church was Bayside Community and had precious people she considered family there. May Barnett raised her children to be strong independent adults ready for what life had for them.

She loved them unconditionally and shared many tears and laughter’s with them. She loved the Lords people and made an impression on everyone she met. Her life was about caring for others every step of the way.
