Obituary for Sandy (Alexandria) Price Sandy (Alexandria) Price, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on December 20, 2018, due to ailments from Dementia. She was born in Chicago, IL on February 23, 1938 to Theodore and Valeria Mirski and loved by her step-mother Shirley. She married her young love, James Edward Price in 1955, who preceded her in death in 1996.
Sandy dedicated her life to supporting her husband at the Milwaukee Railroad yard for many years. She was an active volunteer for many organizations, St. Willebrord Parish as well as highly involved in each of her children’s education and life directions. Sandy was always present, giving everything she had to her six children.
She never missed an event or any opportunity to help her family and friends in any way. She taught many to be independent, always to learn, to help others no matter what, and to appreciate the simplest things in life. Sandy also shared her life babysitting and teaching many children in her home.
She loved to love. Sandy always enjoyed many laughs with good friends and family. Eventually, she shared this same love immensely with her seven grandchildren reading, baking, taking great care of them, involved in all of their activities and always filling them with joy and sweet treats.
All who knew Sandy, understood her to be generous and bold. Sandy welcomed everyone into her home for a warm meal, an extremely strong cup of coffee, and a few Packer jabs as you could not mess with her Chicago Bears. She enjoyed cooking enormous meals to fill everyone and anyone, and always reminded you to save room for her infamous cheesecake, especially at the holidays, like Polish Easter.
Christmas was her favorite time of the year, filling her home with family and a Christmas tree that always engulfed a room. Sandy never wanted to leave anyone out, her door and heart were always open for anyone to enter and be loved at any time. In most recent years, she was adored and given great care, primarily from her daughter Chris, as she took on the role of her caretaker.
The family appreciates all of the tender love from her doctors, nurses, therapists, and caretakers that she loved and laughed with, sometimes even seeing her deep Polish roots. Through all life had in store for her, she embraced it with perseverance and dedication. Sandy is survived by her four daughters Sue Martin and her husband Bob, Cyndi Price, Chris Price, and Michelle Gauthier, and her son Vince Price.
Sandy is preceded in death by her son James in 1988. She is also survived by her brother and wife, Ted and Bobby Mirski, her nephews Chris and John, and niece Jenine. She will be deeply missed and her memory will be held close to hearts by her adoring grandchildren; Faith, Jenessa, Colin, Dylan, Alison, Olivia, and Sullivan.
