Sara’s Obituary Sara Louise Spears Smith was born March 20, 1937 in Rhea Co., Tennessee and passed away Jan. 13, 2019 in Deland, Florida at the age of 81. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mabel Howard Spears.

Sara was a retired banker from the Plantation Bank in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. On July 30, 1955 she was united in marriage to Ernest “Buck” Smith.

In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by her son: Steve Smith of Boulder City, NV and a sister: Adelia “Sue” Crafton of Corinth. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be to the New Columbus Cemetery.
