Obituary for Satadru Sen Satadru Sen, of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away suddenly on October 7, 2018. Satadru was born in Kolkata, India on January 24, 1969. He moved to California with his family as a teenager and attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a B.A. and M.A.

He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. Satadru has been a professor at the City University of New York (CUNY) for twelve years and is the author of several books on South Asian history. Prior to teaching at CUNY, Satadru taught at Washington University in St. Louis and Purdue University.

Satadru was the loving father of two daughters. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling. He will be greatly missed.

Satadru is survived by his mother, Karabi; his wife, Amanda; his daughters, Mirabai and Leila; and his siblings, Santanu, Indumati, Aparajito, and Priyodarshi. Visitation and remembrance will be at Delehanty Funeral Home in Wappingers Falls, NY at 4:00pm Friday, October 12, 2018. Reception at Sen home to follow.
