Scott Matthew Horchen March 08, 1965 – December 08, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Scott Matthew Horchen, 53, of 1887 Bendigo Road, Johnsonburg, died tragically on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018 as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Scott was born on March 8, 1965 in Ridgway, the son of Frank Horchen and Theresa Sporanza.

On Dec. 11, 1982 he married the love of his life and his high school sweetheart, Rhonda Tassone, and she survives. Scott resided in Johnsonburg all his life.

He graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School, Class of 1982. Scott was employed by Domtar Paper Co. of Johnsonburg as a maintenance mechanic for the past 32 years. He had also worked for PennDOT for three years.

Scott was an avid mechanic and Jack-of-all-trades at his garage on Bendigo Road. He enjoyed riding his Harley, meetings with the garage crew, spending time with his family and he especially loved riding his grandchildren down to the river on his golf carts. Scott is survived by his wife, Rhonda, at home; by a daughter, Randi Means (Ryan) of Duncansville; and a son, Justin Horchen at home; by three grandchildren, Remmick, Reid and Roman Means; his father, Frank Horchen and his wife, Bonnie, of Johnsonburg; a brother, Jeff Horchen and his wife, Ramona, of Johnsonburg; a sister, Judy Horchen of Indiana.

He was predeceased by his mother, Theresa Sporanza; a brother-in-law, Randy Tassone; and a nephew, Steven Johnson; and his father-in-law, Angelo Tassone. Funeral Services for Scott M. Horchen will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, Pa. Scott was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and friend to everyone that knew him.

The void he has left in our lives will never be filled. He will be greatly missed forever.
