Born January 23, 1950 in Columbus Georgia, she was a lifetime resident of Auburndale, Florida. She was a Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Services and retired at from the Auburndale Post Office.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lee Laws, father, William Gordan Laws, both of Auburndale and a brother, Johnny Lee Tew (Wife Janice) of Titusville. Sharlene is survived by her Life Partner of 27 years, Susan Tillman of Auburndale; her Daughters, Sherry Bell (husband Leland) of Lake Wales, And Terrie Bence (husband Benjamin) of Eagle Lake. ; Godson Donnie Hale of Auburndale; a Brother, Daniel Larry Tew (wife Joan) of Georgia; Grandchildren Jessica Lynn Merritt (Husband Todd) of Bartow, Jacob Ryan Hale, Jenna Cherie Hale, Jade Mackenzie Hale, Jaycee Rae Hale all of Auburndale, Benjamin Lewis Bence, Jr. and William Dean Bence, both of Eagle Lake; Five Great grandchildren; her Godson Donnie Hale of Auburndale; and Numerous nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Condolences may be sent at www. oakridgefuneralcare.com.
