Obituary for Gregory K. Smith Gregory K. “Greg” Smith, 67, of Haines City, Florida passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Heart of Florida Hospital. Greg was born September 23, 1951 in Winter Haven, Florida, the son of the late Roy and Wilma (Franklin) Smith. He was a firefighter for the Haines City Fire Department for 29 years, retiring as a Captain in 2007.

He was an air boat engineer and a member of Central Florida Air and Power Boat Association. Greg was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and air boating. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Patricia Smith; son, Brian Smith and wife, Kim; daughter, Stacey Towns and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Austin Towns, Raegan Smith, Peyton Smith, Taylor Smith and Brian Smith; sister, Angie Slocumb.

Greg was a loving father, husband, grandpa, and friend to everyone. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. The family will be receiving friends at 4:00 p.m. all at NorthRidge Church in Haines City, Florida.
