Sharon’s Obituary Sharon Ann Robinson, 61, of Centerview, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Sharon was born on May 19, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Jacob Lee “J.L.” Laughman and Mary F. (Shore) Laughman. She grew up in the Kansas City area for most of her childhood, but moved to the Warrensburg area in her teenage years.

She graduated from Warrensburg High School. She married James Robinson on November 28, 1981, and they celebrated 37 years of marriage last fall. She was an accountant for the United States Marine Corps in the Kansas City office for 25 years.

She also worked briefly for Whiteman AFB as a fuel purchaser and accountant. Sharon was a Baptist by faith, and attended the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg when she was able. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and playing the poker machines and slot machines at the casino.

She was also a Tupperware dealer for many years, and she will be remembered as being happy-go-lucky, outgoing, and easily made friends out of strangers. Sharon is survived by her husband James, of the home; nieces & nephews: Michael Laughman II of Centerview, Anneliese Andretti of Parkville, Melinda Laughman of Reno, Nevada, Michael Kendrick of Warrensburg, and Billy Reynolds of Centerview; and great-nieces & great-nephews: Madilynn Laughman, Sawyer Laughman, Beckett Andretti, Alexandria Laughman, and Dylan Laughman. She was preceded in death by her parents J.L. and Mary Laughman; and two brothers, Michael Laughman Sr. and Steve Laughman.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Laughman II, Billy Reynolds, Doug Bentley, Tom Robinson, Nick Stewart, and Robert Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Livengood, Michael Kendrick, Melvin Stewart, and Bob Burns. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, February 8, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory and checks may be left in care of the funeral home.
