Sharon Lee Santos , June 23, 1955 — December 15, 2018

Sharon Lee Santos entered into eternal rest on December 15, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sharon is a native of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. She received her BA in History and Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Kean University.

She also received a Masters Degree in Systematic Theology from Seton Hall University. Sharon was an educator for many years and Director of Religious Education for St. Mary’s Parish in New Monmouth until 2013. Sharon was currently working at St Martha ś Parish where she was the Director of Adult Faith Formation.

Where she also led various religious studies She is a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars and has served as a member of the Advisory Board for Catholic Evangelization and Diocesan Mission Team for the Diocese of Metuchen. Sharon was co-founder of the Franciscan Community of Our Lady of Guadalupe, established under Bishop Edward T Hughes in the Diocese of Metuchen. As a scholar of Shroud of Turin, Sharon has been a guest speaker throughout the State of New Jersey for many years .

Throughout her ministries she has touched countless lives She is predeceased by her father Gary Hermann. She is survived by her mother Dolores ( nee Barrett ) Hermann; her siblings Shirley, Lori, John, Victor and Marie as well many cherished cousins. A special thank you to Nurse Pam for her time and love… Sharon has been a beacon of light for our family and taught us all the true meaning of unconditional love.

She will be remember for her unselfish ways and unwavering love of God and family. Not to mention her sense of humor and special talent, playing the spoons In Lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Martha’s Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 5 – 9 pm at Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11 am at St. Martha’s Church on Herbertsville Rd, Point Pleasant, NJ. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Arrangements are entrusted to Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
