McCoy, Shawn B., 55, went to our Lord Jesus on October 10, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, after a very long battle with cancer, pneumonia and infections and was taken off life support. Born March 21, 1963 in Johnstown, son of the late Paul A. and Georgiana M. (Hoover) McCoy. Preceded in death by infant sister, sister, Elizabeth Cruse; wife, Shelly McCoy.

Survived by loving siblings, Robert married to Vivian, Susan Nickel, Dan married to Bonnie, Paul married to Joy, and Larry McCoy; step children, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. McCoy was a professional painter by trade and a master chef and studied in Florida. He is also one of the most talented comedians ever.

He played the drums and could sing and dance. His ability to remember whole lines from movies was uncanny. Shawn had many neices and nephews and they all loved and gravitated to him.

His favorite movies were B and Sling Blade. Mr. McCoy was an avid marksman and loved to hunt and fish. The family wishes to thank Deborah Karstens and Connie for the daily vigils.

Also visitors and drivers Rebecca Nickel, Dan McCoy, Robert and Vivian McCoy, also Luther Perry and all the doctors and nurses on the 5th floor ICU. Shawn loved his music especially ABBA, he will be greatly missed. The family will announce a memorial mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, at a later date.
