Shawn Michael Cox passed away January 24, 2019 at Genesis Norriton in Norristown, PA at the age of 26. Graduate of Overbrook School for the Blind class of 2013. Former resident of of St. Edmonds Home for Children Rosemont, PA also where he received his First Holy Communion and Confirmation and then moved to Elwyn, Media, PA.

Shawn was born on April 21, 1992 at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. He resided in Philadelphia/Yeadon until 1996 then moved to Marcus Hook, Pa until age 11 when he moved to St. Edmonds Home for Children where he resided until age 22 then he moved to Elwn for 4 years. Survived by mother, Joan Cox; father, Stephen J. Gormley; stepfather John Evans; brothers Casey P. Cox and Dylan R. Cox, Uncles Stephen P. Cox and George M. Cox; Michael Gormley(Monica) and Aunt Kathleen Gormley(Frank Cifollelli}.

Predeceased by Grandfathers and Grandmothers George N. Cox and Rita T. Cox(nee Brady) and James J. Gormley and Mary C. Gormley(nee Gordon). Friends and relatives are invited to his funeral services at 11 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. Edmonds Home for Children, 320 South Roberts Road, Rosemont, PA 19010 where friends may call 10-10:50 AM at St. Edmunds Home for Children also. Interment at St. Denis Cemetery Monday, February 11, 2019 at 12 P.M. Donations may be made to St. Edmonds Home for Children.
