Shelby Jean Roddy Pepper, 78, of Castle Hayne, NC, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center. Cryptside Funeral Services will be held Saturday afternoon, July 28, 2018 at 1 o’clock in Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 until 7 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials in Shelby’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Shelby was born April 14, 1940 in Moncks Corner, SC, the daughter of the late Lela Bodie Roddy and her husband John E. Roddy and Mackie Pipkin. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Shelby leaves behind her daughters, Pixie Burbage Jesus (Ed) of Canonsburg, PA, and Bobbie Burbage Perdue (Donnie Ward) of Wilmington, NC; sister, Grace Roddy Cote of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Tim Schedler (Amanda), and Danielle Perdue (Jessie Jewell), all of Wilmington, NC; great-grandchild, Macy May Jewell of Wilmington, NC; and seven loving nieces. Arrangements by Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
