Sheryle R. Phillips, 61, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Virginia on November 6, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Deek” Collins and was raised by her mother and stepfather, the late Lena (Newton) and Reginald Taylor, Sr. Sheryle was a graduate of Coughlin High School and attended Barbizon Modeling School. She enjoyed fishing, music and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

She was formerly employed by C.E.O. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Newton. Surviving are her sons, Bryan Hooks and his wife, Katie of Kingston and Breon Phillips and girlfriend, Korey Jenkins, of Plains; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kenya, Amya and Connor; brothers, Allan Newton, William Newton, Brett Taylor, Rod Taylor, Reginald Taylor, Ryan Taylor and Robert Collins; several nieces and nephews. A Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, June 1st at 11:00 A.M. in New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church, 780 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.

Friends are invited to call from 10:00 AM till the time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
