Obituary for Shirley A. Boguslaw Shirley A. Boguslaw, 85 of Grand Island died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at home with her loving family at her side. Services will be 2 PM Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Pielstick will officiate.

Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before services. Shirley was born September 22, 1933 at Grand Island the daughter of William and Ethel (Meyers) Schleichardt.

She was raised and received her education in Grand Island. On February 28, 1951 she was united in marriage to Leonard M. Boguslaw. The couple lived in Cairo for 27 years before making Grand Island their home.

Shirley’s faith was in the forefront of sharing the good news with others. She attended Harvest Time Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.

As her family was her greatest blessing, Shirley loved being a wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Leonard, Sr.; their children, Leonard (Ruby) Boguslaw, Jr. of Grand Island, David (Medea) Boguslaw of Cameron, Missouri and Kathy (Michael) Evans of Grand Island; grandchildren, Danielle, Mike, Jr., Jamie, Davey and Jami, Kyle, Danae and Ace, JoNell, Madalyn, Torren and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Alyssia, Berlyn, Nolan, Kyren, London, Daven, Lily, Atlas, Silas and Elum and her sister, Sandra Schoenstein of Grand Island. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gene, Bob, Bill, Ron and Gary Schleichardt and sisters, Delores Grotzky and Betty Wiley.
