Mom passed peacefully after a short illness. Services will be at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Basin, Wyoming on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. Shirley Jean Unterzuber was born in Greybull Wyo.

To William “Bill” and Opal (Kimbro) Unterzuber on January 25,1936. Six years later she was joined by little brother Billy (Butch). The family moved frequently before settling back in Greybull for Shirley’s Jr. and Sr. high school years.

Mom made many friends wherever she went. She was involved in many high school activities and graduated in 1954. A particular basketball player caught her eye and she married the love of her life on April fool’s day 1955.

Glen William “Bill” and Shirley were married for 55 years. To that union 5 children were born. Cindy, Debbie, Terry, Jerry and Tom made the family complete.

Mom and Dad together raised us children to be proud of who we are and where we came from. We were taught a strong work ethic. The seven of the Davis kids worked together at the family’s restaurant, The Big B. Mom and Dad owned the popular spot for 25 years.

Through her high school and adult years mom liked to be active. She was an avid card player and belonged to many card clubs. She was a long time member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and served in many capacities there.

Mom loved to shop and find things for herself and everyone else. Our mother had many friends and loved them all. She sorely missed each and every one of them when she moved to Boise Id.

to be with her three sons six years ago Our mother gave so much of herself to her family. We kids fondly remember all the special things she did for us. We all thought that each one of us were her favorite.

She was an energetic fan to her kid’s activities. She could often be seen running along the sidelines of each touchdown her boys made. Grandma Shirley loved picking out special trinkets or cards for each of her beloved grandchildren for every holiday or just to say “thinking of you”.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and love of her life husband Bill, beloved daughter Cindy, grandsons Skyler and Scott. She is survived by her daughter Deb (Ron); sons Terry (Suzie), Jerry (Pauline), and Tom (Sherry); brother Billy (Kathy) and son in law Ron Christensen. She will also be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Our mom wanted to be remembered with smiles and happiness. So in Mom’s honor tell a fun “Shirley” story and recall the good times. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Basin.

MOM WE WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS! Arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
