Shirley Jean Duck, 82, of Williamsport, died peacefully, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital. Born December 1, 1935 in Loganton, she was a daughter of J. David and S. Theressa (Fidler) Renninger. Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Sugar Valley High School.

She was a cook for over 45 years at many local restaurants including Lee’s Diner, Red Rooster, and Benjie’s. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Surviving are three sons Arnold D. Duck, Jr. (Sharon) of Williamsport, Michael E. Duck of Williamsport, and Scott O. Duck (Rhonda) of Williamsport, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister Nancy Benner of Loganton, and a brother Richard Reninger of Florida.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two infant sons Kevin and Kenton Duck, and siblings Clair Renninger and Verna Bressler. A funeral service to honor Shirley’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will be held in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Loganton.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday.
