Obituary for Shirley “Patti” Sanford Shirley Patricia “Patti” Sanford, 71, of Fairmont passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in Culpeper, VA on July 17, 1946 to the late Charles Perry and Laura Anna Fraiser and step-mother, Dorthy Edith Thrall. Shirley is survived by her son, Robin Leroy Sacks of Elkins and his children, Trevor; Angel; Emily; Savannah; and Madeline; her daughter, Barbara Ann Sacks and companion Jack Brooks of Fairmont; and her children, Carl; Erick; Brittany; and Packee; her daughter, Cynthia Rose Dent of Kissimee, FL and her children, Joshua and Kali; her son, Donald Bruce Sacks II and his wife Tina of Dunn, NC and their children, Isaiah and Julia; eight great-grandchildren and two on the way; her sister, Linda Morgan of Fairmont; nephew, Greg Morgan and his wife Rene; niece, Jennifer Stewart and husband Jess; great-niece, Maggie, all of Fairmont; and her first husband, Donald Bruce Sacks of Elkins.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jerry Morgan and her nephew, Jeramey Morgan. Shirley was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. She loved camping and family gatherings.

She was employed at Fairmont State University. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, cremation services were provided by Perine Funeral Home and a family gathering will be held at a later date. Online condolences can be extended to the family at www.
